El guitarrista, quien formó el grupo Van Halen, con su hermano Alex, murió por problemas asociados a un cáncer de garganta, diagnosticado hace 10 años.
A los 65 años, y con el cartel en su espalda de uno de los mejores guitarristas de la historia, Eddie Van Halen murió hoy, 6 de octubre de 2020 en un hospital de California. La noticia fue confirmada por su hijo, Wolfgang Van Halen, quien dio a conocer el fallecimiento en redes sociales.
“No puedo creer que tenga que escribir esto, pero mi padre ha perdido su larga batalla contra el cáncer. Fue el mejor padre que se puede tener. Cada momento en el escenario y fuera de él fue un regalo. Mi corazón está roto y no creo que nunca se recupere de esta pérdida”, declaró Wolfgang.
